Hi, looking for new tablets I found this with nice features but I think that has resistive screen is a little expensive ...

The problem is looking at the sourcing and alibaba. It is about $270 for an upgraded EKEN series. Same case and potentially same remote support problem. The core elements look good. If you are in the US, or EU it would not be that far in pricing from an ARCHOS 101 with 8G/256M. The difference would be the added DRAM for this unit vs the ability for direct support and return of the ARCHOS.
Maybe it it me, but I am very leery of any unit that promises 3G via external connection. That has been promised on many units. But I have YET to see one that shows or recommends compatible External 3G modem units.
it is interesting but unless you are adventurous, I would pass on the price. My bet this will be lower in cost within 3 mo.

There are at least a few variants of this. The one I reported on is by Utopia Tech. You should be able to inquire chip3c directly for that one.

yesterday I try to format TF Card, but all system data formated by my mistake. When I turn on power it start callibartion setting atfer no more process..

Android market works on newer firmware
No camera right now
Chat apps work
3D accelerated, but most games don't work

Its fairly decent, although there are newer models of this with LG IPS screen for +few hundred rmb.

Latest firmware I've seen for these is 11th / Jan, although most sites only have the 6th Jan one up at the moment.
About 1000rmb locally in the shops - wholesale should be in the 850-900 range for 100 units I'd guess. Roughly 140-150$ + shipping etc
After Chinese new year expect pricing to drop (CNY = end of january - mid feb).

Has (or can have) google market, google earth etc. This is a fairly good hardware model imho.
I'd look for the ones with larger battery - eg 4200ma+-. There are dual and single speaker versions too.

Plus a few copies of it already. The boys in Shenzhen work fast

I do not see the newer firmware for today, but the one released on the 6th does not mention anything other than adding 3G support.

Do you have one?

I just got this Tab and honestly it works great... The WiFi receiver is very weak, but other than that its working Fantastic!! Yes it comes with the android market, but I am also using the Applanet market. I however have been unable to find a firmware update, the current mine has is from Dec 2010. I would appreciate if anyone can post a link to the firmware from Jan 16 2011.

Oh I got it from ***************** and it cost me $147.88 did pay for express shipping so I got it in less than 5 days.

Anyways... would greatly appreciate a link to the latest firmware, I emailed Brandsdragon but they are observing a Holiday and will be out for 7 days.

Pandawill has the newest official firmware.

AndroidTouchPC sells one. If you flash my firmware, there may be a workaround to fix the g-sensor.
