New to smart phones and tablets

Hi,
I am sooo new to Android, I need an andoid dictionary. Any suggestions?
Also, my LG Optimus T smart phone has an app that tells google maps where I am with a wifi connection. Is there a similiar app for a Viewsonic Gtablet?
