Hello, android users. I'm Jon, and I used to have a fourth generation ipod touch that was a piece of crap. I'm looking to make an upgrade with android. It seems more suited to me. (sd slot, customization etc.) I'm looking for advice on here. My max budget is around 200$. I'd like something along the lines of an ipod touch/ipad. So front and back camera, can run latest apps and games. I'll list all the stuff needed below. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Advice is welcome too. Just post whatever you think is helpful!

Basic list: Needs front and back camera. bluetooth. 16gb storage. at least 1gb ram. sd/microSD slot would be nice. Usb/Micros usb too. Can run latest apps and games. option to connect to ethenet would be great. also usb OTG capability would be great. And at least 5 hours of battery life. The nexus 7 2013 would be perfect but it is quite expensive. Thanks!

Tablets I am considering: (tell me which is best suited for me, please) If you find any better ones, link them to me, please. I would prefer to buy it in store, but online is okay too, I guess. As long as it is from a safe source.

My first suggestion would be to look for a tablet running the current KitKat OS.

So a 2013 nexus 7 would be good for that? How is KitKat superior compared to honeycomb and jellybean? Any other advice?
I'm kind of a noob to android, so yeah. Thanks!

Nexus 7 would be ideal. It is pure Android, so that you will always receive timely upgrades. In my case, I purchased an Acer with Jellybean over a year ago and will likely never receive an upgrade from the manufacturer. If I want to be current, I have to buy another tablet.

I see, I see. Thanks so much for your help. Which generation of the nexus 7 would you recommend? I know only the newest one has a rear camera, but which generations specs are better? Or just a better tablet in general?
