Newbe Tablet owner with problems

Hi All, just bought a Superpad 7 10" and having problems with it. After charging everything worked OK, loaded music / movies onto a ext SD card and it played fine. No wifi available so decided to connect the internet cable. Went to settings and selected ethernet, the screen went blue and it stays like that now? Tried switching off / on, seems to start OK, green man comes up followed by the word Android and the screen just goes dark blue again? tried the reset button, still the same... Searched the forums and tried the various sequence of buttons to factory reset but nothing works... Any idea's before I send this back to the supplier?
