Nextbook Power Cord

I have one of the newer Nextbook 11.6 tabs.
I'd like to purchase a separate power cord that uses a USB at the opposite end.
I cannot figure out the size of the power barrel it uses.
I purchased a 2.5 mm and found out that was too small.
Does anyone know what size it uses?
Contacted EFun but I'm sure you guessed it, they were absolutely useless.

Welcome to the forum

All the power cables I see for Nextbbooks are micro USB to USB. This is the only exception I see http://www.amazon.com/Generic-Compa...31&sr=8-33&keywords=efun+nextbook+power+cable

Thanks for your response.
Mine came with a power pin on one end and DC power converter attached to the other. I would like to buy a separate DC converter that takes a USB.

That sounds proprietary in which case I don't think you'll fine one unless it's from EFun. This is the "proper" cable http://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Charger-Nextbook-Google-Android/dp/B00DGZWG6M

If the charging port isn't micro USB then I seriously doubt that there is any other way to charge it except from that port.

I have a very very hard time believing the power pin/barrel plug used is proprietary.

There are lots of other tablets that have proprietary attachments, Microsoft Surface Pro and most ASUS tablets among others

I have no doubt that Microsoft would indeed have proprietary properties.

One of their newest tablets, the Surface 3, has a micro USB port and everyone who has used the proprietary connection wants it on the Surface 3 too.

Personally I think they should all go to a barrel connector. There would be far fewer bunged up charging ports.
