Nook Color Light Sensor?

So out of the 3 Nook Colors I have 2 came without a hole for a light sensor (to the left of the n button) and one came with. The latest one is a gift that I got on the one day sale for $120 and has the sensor hole. This is a refurb though so no telling how new it is. According to Google it doesn't look like there is actually any sensor there but it made me curious how many have it and how many don't, so let's take a poll.



And yes, the gift Nook as been updated to CM7 internal

Nope, I haven't noticed any difference other than the little hole and I didn't even see that until the light caught it just right.

No sensor on mine. Bought in March and one of the "Blue Dot" ones so it was new stock at the time.

The one which got stolen from me and this one I have now,no sensors. I think some ET creature got hold of your device and are checking on you. I remember a long time ago you were talking about this hissing sound coming out of your nook.....wasn't the one with the sensor light?

Good memory, my charger still hisses at me but I don't think it is aliens

The picture in the post isn't even mine just one I found online so I know I don't have the only one. My searching leads me to believe the very first run might have had the sensor port as an option that never made it into production. They did after all have to cut corners to give us, what was at the time, unbelievably low pricing
