Not getting wifi on our google android tablets

New to this website. I bought 3 Google android tablets. 7in Model Number WonderMedia WM8650 Android version 2.2Kernel version 2.6.32.9-default Build number generic-eng2.2 FroyoVer1.5.5-20110920.08380. I can't get a wi-fi connection. When we try to go to download any games it says that the connection has failed. Even though the tablets show 2-5 bars of good connection. Can you help me with this. The router we have is a Linksys E1550, Cisco Brand. We just got it at Christmas. Could we be connecting it wrong? We took the tablets to best buy to have them look at it and the units wouldn't connect there either. Now what? Thanks for getting back to me.
