Onda v702 "Camera has stopped"

I just got a new Onda v702 as a gift, and it's been satisfactory so far, but the camera seems to have broken in the process of removing some of the chinese apps, any attempt to activate it now gives the message "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped". Now, I don't want to do something drastic that might brick it, since my laptop is currently out of commission, but are there any suggestions as to getting the camera back to function?
