Only 562 Megs of Ram?

Good Afternoon all,

I noticed something odd, when I pull up running apps on my tf101 under settings, it shows I only have a total of 562 megs of ram. It usually fluctuates at about 112 megs being used and 450 free. Doesn't the tf101come with 1 gig of ram? Is part of the ram locked down for future updates, or am I in possession of a defective tablet?
