Pda Net tablet (beta) Any success with a Toshiba Thrive / Droid x/ Verizon

Hello to everyone;
I am trying to get the Pdanet for Tablet to work with my Toshiba Thrive / Droid X / with Verizon. My tablet tell me I am running as a client and under settings it showes I am paired but not connected. Needless to say I have no connection. Any help would be appriciated. I originally went the rooting wireless tether app, but that is less than successful with the Verizon re-direct. I am open to pretty much anything.

Gweber.. thanks for posting the question. I seem to be having the same issue. I have a Toshiba Thrive and Droidx. I can't seem to get past the Verizon page that wants me to sign up for data/tethering. I actually did get past it by accident, but couldn't remember the steps I followed to do so.
