PLEASE HELP!!! Ports not working on a MID 2.1 Android Tablet.

I just purchased a Android 2.1 Tablet C-MID-7" and the USB and Mini USB ports are NOT working. Originally I assumed it was the keyboard I bought separately for it was broken but I can't get anything to load or light up in the ports. This means the drivers are kaput right? Has anyone else had this problem and is there anything I can do to fix it rather than try to get this company in China to make an exchange? (It was a month before I even got it after purchasing.) There is no option that I could find for a system update on the tablet in settings. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance from another Tablet Nooby

It might just mean that the USB ports are not meant to work with USB devices such as keyboards. You were probably expecting too much. Plus I can't tell what you have from that description.
