Today I successfully rooted my ployer momo19. following the directions given here Root for Onda V812 / Onda V972 and Allwinner A31 based tablets | ARCTABLET NEWS. While its for an onda tablet It successfully rooted my momo19 and i suspect it would work on a momo19 hd and any other a31 equipped tablet. Enjoy to any other momo19 owner.

Always hesitant to be one of the first but very eager to be master on my own momo19, I tried the above procedure. It worked like a charm for me. 
Thanks to all who worked on this.
FYI: Couldn't initially copy the ZIP for the root directory, hence I'd put it in /Download and updated from there.
