Hi there,

I might be needing a specialist's eye on this one. :)

I recently bought this tablet and I am having trouble enabling the Google Calendar in it. Every application uses the built in functionalities to access the calendar and the manufacturer has disabled support for it.

I managed to enable the market and to gain root acces on it but this Google Calendar thingie is driving me nuts already. I tried to flash some modaco roms but I didn't get anywhere with this.

Everywhere it said that the tablet is identical with Vega Advent but after I flashed that rom I was missing the wireless (in settings where you have the Wifi enable button it said "Error").

Maybe it was the way I flashed it? Because I don't have USB connectivity I used the Software update functionality in Settings to specify the zip update file and then the tablet restarted and did a few things and then booted with what it appeared to be a new operating system. I did it this way because after I flashed the Vega Advent ROM that everybody said it will have USB connectivity I couldn't switch the USB mode on it. It just hang in that screen without doing anything.

My main suspicion is that the guys from POV made some hardware changes to the tablet and that is why there are compatibility issues with the USB and the WiFi.

Coming to the end of a long post :) I have managed to put everything I needed on this tablet except for the Google Calendar which is very useful to me. Can anyone help me with this last task?

Thanks a lot,
LoG

Did you try stock Mobii ROM V1.09 and [Rom Add-On] Clean & Stable Add-On For All Stock Firmware V3[24/03/11][Full Market]?

Worked perfect for me on several stock ROMs (UX100, Mobii, Vega, Viewsonic) on my Viewpad 10s. Gives you the Google apps, gmail and contacts if needed. You can flash it from SDcard either with ClockWorkMod if you have it or with the build in Settings->Software tool->Software update. All Google apps work without problems after using this Add-On for me.

I tried the Mobii ROM on my Viewpad 10s and everything worked, including the WiFi.

I have the exact same tablet, the POV Mobii TEGRA running V1.10 and installed said mods on it. Simply download and run z4root to root it, than download and install the add-on pack as written by beegee_tokyo through the software tool. Don't forget to enter account data in the settings too. I can confirm it works on the POV hardware too!

Hi,guys!
Any chance to migrate from 2.1 to 2.2 on this tablet ?
I have the Mobii with trackball and 3G (how do i make it work?)
