Printing Problem

Hi!
I am a new user, I want to connect and print from my acer iconia tab 7 to a canon Pixma MG 3540 wireless printer. I have downloaded the app(pixma maxify) inkjet but I can't print. When I do the wireless setup from the internet and go back to the app and search the printer, I do get the wi-fi connection but for few seconds and it says " not in range". Please help me.

Does your WiFi on the tablet work as expected otherwise? I can't tell for sure but it sounds like the problem is that the printer isn't properly connecting to your WiFi, Have you managed to use the printer on the WiFi network from another computer?
