Problem with contacts.

If this is in the wrong forum please forgive me. i rooted my NC with cm7. i use missing sync to sync my calender, contacts, bookmarks etc with my pc. I cannot get the contacts to sync. Everything else syncs fine. I have setup my google account as well and it doesn't sync contacts with it either. Am I missing something obvious.? I did a search but did not find a resolution.
