Protecting or Hiding Home screen Apps/folders

I have a few apps that I probably shouldn't be using more than once, like Z4Root or System App Remover, and I definitely wouldn't want anyone else using them, so is there a way to hide them or put them in something like a hidden or password-protected folder? That is, other than uninstalling them after only one use.

Well, I'll have to leave the device rooted for the app vault, but it looks like it would word, so thanks. You might look into App Locker or app protector as it password-protects apps & functions on a phone.
