Question about Coby Kyros MID7022 adapter use

I am looking to buy a Coby Kyros MID7022 but I want to know if it is possible to use it with an adapter without risking the tablet battery. Because I heard that some tablets' batteries can be ruined by the time if using it while charging for example. Please let me know. Thanks
