Question on pre-requisites for installing118 firmware to Le Pan II tablet

I just got my Le Pan II from Amazon Canada and usually the first thing I do is install the updates. One of the updates I read about was the 118 firmware update. I went to check the version of the firmware in the settings and noticed it was labelled:

"Build number IMM76D.user.V406.release-key"

I'm starting to wonder if there was some hardware change. On a side note I already have ICS 4.0.4 on the tablet pre-loaded.

Questions:

(1) How do I confirm what firmware I have installed?

(2) Which of the two update methods should I use?

You are on the most current version of ICS. You don't need to upgrade. V118 is Honeycomb. That would be a downgrade
