I have a friend that purchased a used android tablet. Manufacturer is MID- Model Number 7206, Android Version 2.3.3, build number GRI40. She would like to wipe the tablet and return to factory settings, but when she does the language is set to Chinese or japanese or something and she has a hell of a time getting it back to english, but she has the same problems with it as befor the reset (freezing while browsing/gameplay/everything else). How do we go about setting it to factory, like new fresh out of the box, settings in English? Thank You.

From what you've described here, you have been "setting it to factory, like new fresh out of the box" condition and that appears to be with the other language as the language it left the factory with. Apparently either the original seller or a previous owner set it to English before your friend received it, and whenever you reset it you'll have to do the same.
