Quickoffice Tablet Edition 1.01 - Full Editing of Office Documents on Android

QuickOffice HD

Using it in certain screen configurations makes it scale down to phone mode, I believe. But it works, with full editing functionality.

Tablet mode works on devices with resolution of 1024x600, mostly affecting the file browser

minSDK = 4, so it works even in Android 1.6 devices

Ok xaueious, finally installed QuickOffice HD

Here is the story and hopefully will help all of us Nook Color owners:

-I had forgot the Nook Color has a pre-installed version of QuickOffice Viewer and I just read on somewhere, you must uninstall any previous version of QuickOffice before installing a new one. To uninstall a pre-installed/root app, you need to get a root uninstaller app to do such
-Go to the market and get "Uninstaller for Root"
-Open and scroll down to "QuickOffice Viewer"
-Press "Grant root", SU will ask for permission
-After root access, press uninstall
-Once uninstalled, us NC owners are free to install QuickOffice HD or any other QuickOffice version you wish

Extension APK files are really renamed and signed ZIP archives. If you move the .APK file intact onto your device and choose to open it with a file manager, you will be able to install it like a setup.exe file. Keep in mind that you have to enable installation from unknown sources like this:
