Yes, I was running stock JB 4.2.2. However, videos quit working with any type file and any player. Thought it might help to reinstall stock rom. However, decided to go with this instead: [RECOVERY] [ROMs] ASUS Memo Pad HD 7 (me173x) [MULTILANG] - xda-developers Didn't help. Videos still do not play. Also claimed USB would work. Does not so far. Think I'll try to find a stock rom. Also, the instructions on that page need help.

If you were truly having issues with playing any videos there was probably a reasonable expiation and failing that you should have done a factory reset. Sorry but I can't be of any more help now.
