Samsung gakaxy 10.1 help

Hi all
Bit stuck really as dont know what to do?
basically we bought our daughter a samsung galaxy 10.1 tab for Xmas.
it now won't charge up via wall adapter only to 5% when plugged in.
It's actually non usuabke at all at the min :-(
Can anyone help a distraught ( near enough ) 12 year old please

Welcome to the forum
It sounds like your charger is not working correctly, or possibly it isn't the charger it came with. I would try taking it to a store with some Samsung tabs on display and try one of their chargers to see if that's the problem.
