Samsung Galaxy 10 docking keypad types incorrect letters

When typing using the docking station keypad, we get incorrect letters (we type "w" and get "z"; typing "m" gives "." and so on).
Settings are on English US, so we don't understand what could be the problem.
Can anyone propose a solution?
