The new Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 just got a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich. In the video above you can see that some developers over at XDA got the ball rolling on Android 4.0 for the tablet. They apparently didn't wnat to wait until Samsung brought it out official for the device some time next year. There are three builds that are bootable, but still need a lot of work. Still, to see it running on the tab so soon after the launch of ICS is encouraging, although not surprising. For now, since these builds are still in a very fresh pre-alpha stage, the trio of devs have decided not to offer downloads yet. Perhaps it won't take them long to progress...
