Verizon and Samsung love launching tablets in the Galaxy Tab series, and at CES 2012, both companies are at it again with the Galaxy Tab 7.7 with 4G LTE connectivity.
With so many available Android tablets, its hard to create a clear flagship tablet that will appeal to millions of consumers. I dont think Samsung is even considering the Galaxy Tab 7.7 to be a hit among every tablet shopper; instead, it is targeted towards a very specific demographic.
In fact, it measures in at just 7.9 mm thick making it one of the thinnest tablets in the market. Coupled with 4G LTE, Android 3.2, and a dual-core 1.4GHz processor, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 makes for a very sleek tablet.
In addition, Samsung is preloading the device with Samsung apps such as Media Hub, Social Hub, QuickOffice Pro HD, etc. While some may find these pre-installed apps annoying, others enjoy having all of their media in one central and accessible location.
Samsung is proud of a piece of technology called Peel Smart Remote on the tablet that uses an infrared technology to view programming on the tablet as well as act as a universal remote control. Lastly, it features a 3MP rear facing camera, 2MP front facing camera, 16GB of onboard memory, WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth. Hopefully there is an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich in the tablets future.
At this time, pricing or availability information is not available, but it should be priced rather inexpensively on contract.
