Screen brightness

Anyone know if the brightness of the screen can be adjusted? I see these are on sale again at my local Costco. I never thought about trying to adjust brightness on mine. A friend is interested in one, but wants to adjust screen to less bright? Any ideas?

Touch the battery icon at the bottom right of the screen. At the bottom of the pop-up menu touch the "View All Settings". The 4th one down on the left will read "Screen". Touch it and a new menu on the right pops up and the first selection is Brightness. Touch that and you get a check box labeled Automatic Brightness. Uncheck the box and you get a slider that will give you full control over brightness level. Keeping brightness low will greatly increase battery life of the VTAB.
