sd card permisions

When attaching any sd card in my tablet no write permisions are given.
Same sd card on my android smartphone works wout any problem. No problem Even if attach it through a usb adapter in my tablet.

Any idea what's going on?

Filesystem is FAT32
SD size:32GB
Device: Toshiba at100 (thrive)
OS version: 3.1

What do you mean by write permission? It doesn't usually ask for that when you enter an SD card. It just scans it. Or are you saying you are not able to save anything on the SD card?
