I downloaded skype upgrade,but it still wont work with camera

I'd do an uninstall and go to the market and reinstall the latest.

the latest upgrade for skype if you look at compatiable devices at the download site the A500 has been added. all the regular options are now there voice viedo etc.

Wado, what was wrong with the existing Skype thread?
You created this one yesterday and a third today.
I guess you failed to read the rules.
I sometimes go through 8 or 10 pages to find a thread on something because this site is cluttered with threads that people created when one already existed.
In the future please search for a thread before creating a new one.
