Sound Distortion After Hours of Audio Playing

I have a Nexus 7 2012 android 5.1.1 and I get sound distortion after several hours of nature sound played at night. It has happened with several apps, like TaoMix and Rain Sounds, while the device is connected to Denon speakers or not, I wake up to a big sound distortion.

Anyone else experience this? Could it be related to the unsafe sound levels problem?

I played only Tao Mix rain sound all night and it did not wake me up with a sound distortion, and now I just remembered the last distortion happened when I played Rain Sound app along with Tao Mix, so Rain Sound app might be the culprit. I played both to not notice any loop from one app.

Fortunately, it does not overheat.
