Toys R' Us just announced a new Android Tablet for kids called the Tabeo. The tablet will go on sale at the retailer on October 21st for $149.99. Here's a breakdown of specs:

• Custom version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

• A microSD slot
• Front and rear cameras
• Wi-Fi and HDMI connectivity

We reported this story, but in all honesty, our editors think that you can do better. Really, if you compare the specs, then the Nabi 2 would be a better choice for kids. You can get them at WalMart, Best Buy and Amazon. It's 50 bucks more, but you get a much more robust tablet for you money, and is just as versatile and secure for kids.

A friend of mine just bought the Nabi 2 at Best Buy for her kid who is constantly using her iPad. The kid is still using her iPad and so now she is using the Nabi 2!:-D

I am glad to participate here. Toys r us doing a great work. As for toys are concerned they play an important role in the development of child both mentally and physically whereas games are somewhat more engaged in mental development and due to this most of the kids don’t get well physical exercise that can help their body grow.
