Tablet and Smartphone Covers - My 2¢

I've noticed ads for covers that have a compartment for your credit cards, drivers license etc.

IMHO That's about the dumbest idea I've seen in quite a while.

If your device is lost/stolen/ripped out of your hand/etc, do you really want the "new owner" to also have everything they need to also steal your identity and/or destroy your credit rating?

BTW Many cases also have magnetic covers which would probably scramble the information on your credit cards, so don't just slip a card in there.

The only reason that I'd have for putting a cover on my tablet or smartphone when I go outside is to keep out the sand, since I live at the beach. So, I simply put them in a vegetable zip-lock bag. Doesn't look cool, but it works.
