Tablet caught a virus !

Hello ! I am new to the forum and not sure if this is posted in the right section or not. I have an alcatel one touch tablet, it caught a virus and now it won't turn on or hard reset. Is there anything I can do to fix this ? Or do I hAve to take it somewhere . Don't really have the money to fix it so I was hoping I could do it myself . Thanks

What were the symptoms that lead you to think you have a virus. A virus wouldn't cause your tablet not to turn on and do you actually mean power up?

What else could it be ? ? It started freezing and shutting down on me. Now it won't even turn on

That doesn't sound like a virus, at least not the kind that attack Android. If it's shutting down. If it won't turn on at all it could be the battery or the system board. I don't have any idea where you would take it to get it fixed.

Definitely hardware-related. Check Alcatel's website and look for an email address or phone number, so you can find out from them what to do.

This seems more a hardware issue than a virus. Any error message?
