Tablet in DMZ of Router Firewall

For some reason i cant access the google play store via tunnelbear when connected a netgear dg834gv5 in particular other routers are fine. If I put the tablet in to the dmz of the router it does work.

So what I was wondering is, is it safe enough to put my tablet in the dmz thereby removing the protection of the routers firewall? It is something I would not dream of doing with a windows machine, is android safer?

Welcome to the forum

As you have discovered, putting the tablet in the DMZ is working but not all that dangerous. (I wouldn't leave it that way). There must me some other router setting that is causing that problem
