Tethering - Samsung Tab

Will the Samsung Tab allow me to "tether" my Samsung Epic phone to go on the Internet without having to pay a monthy fee?

I have the epic and the tab from sprint. I have disabled activation on my tab using titanium backup (see xda forum for more info), and use barnacle wifi tether from the market on my epic to get internet on my tab. works GREAT!

You can use your galaxy tab as a wireless router. go to setting>Wireless and Network>Mobile AP

After you enable the Mobile AP you can then set the SSID Security and password to access the 3g from your tab.

I have the ZT-180 and the Samsung epic (rooted) I cannot get them to communicate so that I can tether my EPad?? HELP please!!!!
