I have a Coby Kyros MID8024 and due the advice from the threads in here I was able to install Android Market and get Skype working no video though 
but I know someone will get it working.
For the Android market I installed the Z4Root from amazon app and the root explorer the 3.99 one the free one was junk.
I then downloaded the zipfile some one had posted here copied the files to the sd card and then moved it the the system/app folder and Market appeared.

The Skype make sure you do not download the android lite that one does not work on the Coby
The one I downloaded was Download free Skype app for Android at Freeware Lovers
at this link the 2.0.0.45 you need to have the head phones plugged in or you get booted off the call.
Also from Freeware Lovers: The Best Things in Life are FREE you can download flash and the pdf reader they have worked on mine so far.
The only issue I have been having is trying to do so much and I keep freezing up the tablet.
