Toshiba recently announced the 7-inch version of their impressive Android tablet, The Thrive. Besides being a bit smaller, it also packs a few different features, although most of its internals are the same. Here's a breakdown of its features:
  • Tegra 2 Processor
  • 5 MP / 2 MP cameras
  • The textured, rubberized back isn't removable this time
  • The rear-facing camera comes with an LED flash
  • Smaller form factor = 0.88 pounds, half an inch thick
  • No full-sized ports = Instead has the usual mini-USB and micro-HDMI sockets
  • A headphone jack & docking connector
  • A microSD slot
  • Android 3.2,
  • Completely Stock Android except for a Swype keyboard option
  • 16GB and 32GB versions
They didn't indicate pricing or availability, but they hinted at early December for less than $400. You can see a few more pics and a video at the Engadget source link.
