After much thought I took my Iconia back to the store and purchased the Asus Transformer. Dock didn't have anything to do with it either. The Iconia is a fine tab and the build quality is great but it had an issue with very weak wifi reception so that was the deal breaker for me. Also the fact the TF has a better display and is lighter sealed the deal.
Both tabs have their benefits/drawbacks. The Iconia has much better ports while the TF is lighter and has the better screen. Also seems like the TF had better preinstalled apps than the Iconia. And Asus seems to be better with the updates than Acer.
Still I've had good luck with my asus netbook so I'm expecting similar results from my asus tab.
