Transfering files to SD card partition

I was trying to install CM7 stable to an SD card, but can't figure out how to copy files to the SD cards 4th partition. What is the best way to do this? My nook is currently unrooted. Is there a way to transfer the file while my SD card is in the computer?

I think everything you need to know is here [ROM][CM7] Size-agnostic SD Card image and CM7 installer for SD Cards. with updater - xda-developers This is a simple straight-forward method for any size sd. No need to partition or any thing. Just write the image provided to your sd and and copy the CM7 build of choice.
