Trying to root MID7036

Hello, I found the guide on here for rooting a Coby MID7036. I've downloaded the root_gapps_signed file, copied that to internal storage and I go into backup and reset and from there my only option is factory data reset. Anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance.

Hi it seems you are trying the "unrooting" procedure..
To get it rooted, after saving and renaming the gapps file to "update.zip" in your internal memory, goto settings>about tablet>system updates>Install system update> and select "from internal storage". done.. it will update by itself and will prompt you for a reboot, which you have to do it by selecting the volume and power keys. Upon reboot you will see the paly store icon in your app/widget selection screen.
I did the sameway and got my 7036-4 rooted and now got access to google play store.
