Two NEC Android Tablets Debut for Business or Pleasure Called the LifeTouch L

If you've been around the tech industry for very long, when you think of NEC you might typically think of old school award winning monitors. Of course they make other products, including full blown personal computers, servers and more. Today they are trying their hand in another emerging market with their own NEC branded Android tablets. NEC just announced two Android tablets called the LifeTouch L for Business and the LifeTouch L for Individuals. The model for individuals will be available on July 5th, while the business-centric version will launch later in July. No details on pricing or release markets were given yet, but a slew of specs were shared for your perusal:
  • Weight: 549g
  • Profile: 7.99mm thin
  • 10.1-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display with 1280 x 800 resolution
  • 1.5GHz dual-Core TI OMAP4460 processor
  • 16/32GB and 16GB memory
  • 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi with 5GHz band support
  • USB support
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • Up to 13 hours of battery life for web surfing
  • Up to 10 hours of battery life for watching video
  • Individual Model to come in two varieties: 16GB and 32GB; Business Model only 16GB
