Unable to connect to Bluetooth on my Android3.2

Hi, my name it Kath and I have an android 3.2, bluetooth is highliughted but when I try to connect it, it scans, then the tick disappears, also I have a vodaphone mobile wifi device but although i can pick it up with the android it will not connect to it can anyone help, thank you

Check your settings, you might have it in airplane mode. It should find all of the networks in your neighbourhood but it will only connect to the one you have the password for.
