Updating from Android 1.6 to 2.0 or 2.2

Hi so i have narrowed my tab id down to most likely a flytouch gen 1 clone of some sort, is just a generic and i cant find any specs on the processor or anything other then 256mb of ram. It shows that i have android 3.0 under firmware but clearly have 1.6 and would like to move to a newer os if possible. so anyone who can help with this first time tablet owner i would appreciate it!

model: generic

Firmware: android 3.0 (shown) Actual 1.6 is what i believe

Kernal: 2.6.29-002360g4f8dbbb-dirty

Build: WMT2.1.2
