Upgrade Archos 101it from Froyo to Gingerbread or higher

Hi everyone

I own an Archos 101 which I purchased earlier last year.
I heard several times that an upgrade to Gingerbread or higher is possible but I have no idea how to do that and would like to ask the members of this forum to help me, please.
As I am a relative novice in this area I would need simple step by step instructions if it is possible at all.
