I just got a 10.1 inch Irulu tablet. I want to use a thumb drive for data storage. Can that be done? How?

Congrats on your new device, Don.
First check the package that your Irulu came in and look for the OTG certification.

If you don't see it, don't worry just yet, because you can install a OTG checker, from the Play Store, to verify that your tablet can use a OTG cable.

If the package or the app indicates that it's compatible, you'll need an OTG cable.
Amazon has lots. I've got one like this, https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00G...ref=plSrch&dpPl=1&dpID=41KKuffqLCL&ref=plSrch
( I like the 90 degree connection.)

Plug the cable into your tablet, thumb drive into the USB port on the cable and use a file manager to access the drive.

Hope it works out for you.
