Using IPad Headset on Samsung Tablet

Would a wired headset (3.5 mm plug) designed for Iphone/Ipad be compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S or Tab 4? Would the in-line microphone work?

Or can anyone recommend an inexpensive headphone or in-ear headset with very good audio quality for the Tab S?

Don't know why it wouldn't. Uses the same plug. Can't say about the mic though.
