Using tablet as wifi adapter

I am curious if it is possible to use my Iconia A100 tablet as a wif adapter. TO paint the scenario, I've got wifi in my home, and can connect the tablet to it, I want to share that connection via a wired connection to a desktop PC. I do not at present have a wifi adapter for the PC....Would this essentially just be tethering the tablet to the desktop?

Why not just get a wireless USB adapter for your desktop PC? I got one last week at MicroCenter for $9.95 USD.

Don't have the extra $10 to do that at the moment, and I'm not the most patient person, I don't want to wait.
