Video Format Changes after rooting.

I don't know if you noticed this:

When I updated my firmware from 3.01 to 3.1, video captured results are now better than the normal output (tablet unrooted - 3GP was the extension format of all videos).

But after I rooted my tablet (and still v3.1) and some information was updated to my unit, and when I'm taking some videos and transferring them to my PC, I noticed that the format has been changed from .3GP to an MP4.

How that happend?

I didn't change any settings on my video and as for photo, I only used the zoom and just pressing the shutter to capture images.

Has anyone experienced this?

If all you did was root, then that should not have happened.
However, I've never seen anyone ONLY root and do nothing else (what would be the point).

If you find where the images are stored on the Tablet with your file manager are the 3GP?
Maybe its the transfer process that changes them to MP4. How are you transferring?

Did you install anything from the market.

Having trouble getting apps from the Market so NO, I didn't install anything.

Tried to change settings now on the video and make it save in YouTube format and now, back to normal saving on .3GP.

I dunno what happened.
