View Sonic Android 2.2 G Tablet - Storage Damaged

HI, my husband gave me a G Tablet for my birthday (View Sonic 2.2 Anroid Tablet). I do not use it much because I have a laptop I am on most of the time. I went to down load some apps on it and I am getting an error message saying to insert SD Memory Card. There is already one in it. When I take it out, I get a message saying that the tablet storage is damaged. Can anyone help me with this? I have checked other post on forum but I have yet to come across an issue like mine.

Since no one else is chiming in, I will make a couple of guesses.
Make sure your sd card is turned on in "settings".
Perhaps the onboard memory is full.
You could also use a card reader via your laptop and copy the files off your sd card. Reformat your card with the laptop and try it again. Use the Fat 32 file system.
