Vizio Android Tablet Available for Limited Pre-OrderShips Mid-July

Vizio's intriguing little Android tablet just became available for pre-order on their website, for $400 bucks, not including tax and shipping. This is an 8-inch tablet with Gingerbread, a 16GB MicroSD card, and a folding folio case, included for that price. It also has a built-in HDMI port so you can check out games and videos on your big-screen TV if you feel so inclined. Any device that you pre-order today will begin shipping on July 18th. I've been waiting for the 10" Amazon tablet, but after reading about this and seeing some videos, I'm about 85% ready to jump on the Vizio. I see it isn't as good as the AMZTab is rumored to be, but I LOVE the 4:3 screen. That's the one thing that has held me back from buying any other tablets out there. The Pandigital Novel had a great screen, but the hardware was weak. My NookColor does what I want as a tablet, but I dislike the narrow reading screen. Vizio seems perfect for me.



Plus, it'd be nice to hold the "remote" once in a while.
