How do I download other ebooks onto my tablet other than what Aldilo offers. I have a a kyros md7015 and Aldiko doesn't have books that I want? Is there a way to get books from other sources on there?

I have been using Aldiko as well - it will read any book in epub format. So if u go to Barnes & noble or some other site, download in epub. The book will be saved in your download folder. Aldiko will let u import but they don't create an IMPORT folder. Find your ebooks folder, create folder inside that called IMPORT and move your epub books there. Open Aldiko, click menu & import. You should get a msg that also says it will import from ebooks/import and watch it import!! I love this ereader!! Good luck!

If you get a book in a format other than ePub you can convert it to ePub using the free programme Calibre from here. It works well and is available for most OS's. Then follow the instructions from dnjpowell above.

Thanks for the help! I'm new to the ereader world so I will have to take it slow....I've been reading posts on rooting, getting other epub and it's somewhat mid bogging, but i think i figure it out! With your responses.

I'm also wanting to get something like Microsoft Word on there...is that possible?

I recommend fbreader (http://www.fbreader.org/) as an ebook reader and Project Gutenberg (http://www.gutenberg.org/catalog/) is a good (free!) source for public domain/classic literature (I went and downloaded more Sherlock Holmes, as I'd been meaning to read them anyways). The nice thing about fbreader is that 1) it's free, 2) supports a pretty good amount of formats, and 3) has a .apk file that you can download right from the website, meaning you don't have to root or install a file manager to get it on your device. Although if you want a file manager, I use ES File Explorer (http://www.estrongs.com/products.html). If you want to play movies from your Coby, it helps to be able to select them and run them with a file manager.
